Course Objectives

• Clarify how a vision for embedding digital technologies might directly underpin a school's broader curriculum intent
• Identify key processes to monitor and evaluate the use and value of digital technologies
• Ensure that the systems for monitoring are strong and resilient
• Evaluate quality of the Computing curriculum and its use in supporting learning objectives in other curriculum areas

Digital technologies may contribute substantially to an outstanding learning environment and innovative curriculum, supporting well motivated pupils and creating improved opportunities for learning to flourish. Unfortunately expensive resources are often used without effect and professional expertise exists in pockets, isolated from school priorities and as such has little impact in underpinning a school's ambitions for a broad and rich curriculum.

The aim of this short course is to establish the essential conversations and monitoring processes that will allow senior leaders to audit provision and identify essential next steps in terms of its vision, standards of achievement and evidence base.
