Course Objectives

Ofsted judgements in relation to Physical Education in primary schools.
Supporting PE subject leaders in monitoring and evaluating standards in PE
Supporting PE subject leaders in an Ofsted Deep Dive
Opportunities to discuss the deep dive process and reflect on latest inspections
To explore the use of physical activity and school sport to raise standards

This is a half day training provides an opportunity for PE subject leaders to update their understanding of the inspection framework in relation to physical education. PE subject leaders will explore the 2.5 hour deep dive inspection in detail, exploring what to expect in the discussion with an inspector/s, lesson observations, pupil and staff interviews, standards and assessment.
