Course Objectives

This course will cover:
• To develop confidence in teaching and assessing the Lancashire PE and Games units of work at KS2, 2020
• To explore how to teach Character Education and values through the updated PE KS2 units of work
• To explore how the Lancashire SOW can support the intent, implementation and impact of a school's KS2 PE curriculum
• To develop confidence in adapting and differentiating the lesson progressions to meet the children’s learning needs

This course for primary school teachers will help delegates understand how to teach and assess the Lancashire Scheme of Work units for KS2. Teachers will explore how to teach explicitly character education alongside the fundamental movement skills and application of these skills. This course will also help delegates understand how children build on their FMS and develop sport specific skills through KS2.
The resource contains assessment materials which also can be used to monitor and track pupil progress within PE at Key Stage 2.

Each delegate will take away hard copies of the Lancashire PE Scheme of Work for KS2.
