Course Objectives

• To support identification of pupils with SEND having difficulty with memory skills.
• To understand how memory works and how we can support pupils develop their memory skills.
• To deepen understanding of the importance of multisensory teaching to improve and promote recall and retention for CYP with SEND

The memory demands in the classroom for children are high; pupils are constantly bombarded by new knowledge in multiple topic areas, given series of instructions to complete and expected to both learn and demonstrate their mastery of knowledge and skills on a daily basis. This training package will discuss how to plan and deliver interventions to develop memory skills.
